  My son is enrolled in the 2-day program at Mariposa Montessori for the 2009-2010 school year. He is also in the Lunch & Play program. We are really happy with the school, office staff and his teacher. He has made friends and is excited about going to school. I've seen an increase in his independence and they have helped me potty train him. I'm impressed with the calm, productive environment of the classroom and how focused the children are (and these are 2/3 year olds!). I also like the exposure he gets to older kids (4, 5 & 6 year olds) and the extra playground time in the Lunch and Play Program. They have a car-line service so you don't have to get out of your car if you don't want to or have other children you don't want to lug around the school. However you can walk them to and from class (I usually do). The office staff is really responsive and they have a great website where you can read a monthly newsletter from your teacher, see photos from school events and sign-up for volunteer activities. I also really like the level of parent/community involvement. Many of the parents chat in the parking lot before and after dropping-off or picking-up the kids. There are several family events throughout the year that are fun and allow parents and children to get together outside of the classroom.
